OP: Can you let us know once you switch the clamps if it fixes your problem? I did the same exact thing you did and similarly lose about 1/2" every month or so.

When I redid my cooling system and just went into Lowes and back in the plumbing section somewhere they have a a 10 pack of the stainless steel clamps and I don't remember it being more than 10 dollars. I also rented a pressure tester from advanced auto (Oreillys tester didnt fit the disco) and found a didn't fully tighten a few of them but once done it held 18# for an entire day with no leaks and seen no issues since

Potxoli,
they are a one time only deal this is land rover after all. Honestly, that style seals great when using a new clamp and hose, but seeing as they need to he replaced a screw type is usually easier.

I have used standard worm drive type clamps from the box stores and from hardware stores with good luck for the larger sizes, but I have been struggling with the clamps on my stupid throttle body heater. They seem to eventually leak no matter what I do. I have found the clamps made by Ideal in this size range can be tightened more than others without stripping, but I still seem to get leaks after a little while. They seem to be loosening up, although I find that a little hard to believe. I even tried using two per hose but still ended up with a leak after some time. Headgaskets replaced, no leaks or issues. Two little hoses, nothing but problems. I am going swap them out for a one-time use style stainless steel band that needs to be crimped. Maybe that will hold.

I'm guessing the worm drive type clamps can just be unscrewed completely to open them up and put over an existing hose? The idea of flushing/re-filling the cooling system again is not appealing

How new/old are your TBH hoses? I had a similar issue with mine post HG fix, I had reused one of the hoses because it looked pretty new (LR parts label intact on the hose). Replacing the hose with a brand new one seemed to help.
