Recommendations on new front rotors and brake pads for 01 Disco II?
I need new front rotors and pads for my 2001 Disco II and I was looking for some recommendations. Don't want to spend the farm but a good quality and performance for a reasonable price should do the trick. By chance, if you know the price and best place to order that would be great. TIA

A good way to go would be to buy the pads and rotors from Atlantic British, they offer 3 sets and their middle set has been a good combination for people in the past.
Make sure you buy some sound deadening material for the pads backing plate and 2 quarts of brake fluid for a complete brake bleed.

DOT 4 brake fluid and yes, those are the ones I would suggest unless you want to up grade to a longer lasing set of ceramic pads and new rotors.
Auto parts stores sell spray on sound deadening spray to use on the brake pads.

I replaced the front pads @ a year ago, knowing that the rotors were bad. Is changing the rotors any more difficult than just replacing the pads? I felt changing the pads on the Rover was one of the easiest vehicles I've ever done. I'll order the parts in a couple weeks, right now I don't think the brakes are bad, this is what the dealer said, and we know what we feel about them.

FYI - The reason Mike is mentioning the deadening material is because the material cuts back on the vibration. Vibration from the brakes can make the speed sensors angry and it will trip the three amigos. Those ceramic ones are great I hear. Zero brake dust = less vibration and zero dust.
