Refueling
Trouble with slow refueling when check engine light on. Can only add gas very slowly. Light will go out and I can add gas at normal rate. Seems to be an intermittent problem only seen since latest service when computers reset. Now I have this problem but earlier ones with poor operation of wipers, cruise etc now disappeared. Any suggestions appreciated.

Your gas tank vent might be partially clogged. The check engine light might be giving you a emissions fault code. Next time the light comes on have the codes read.
The cruise control not working is probally a leaking vacum line.
The wipers is either the motor or the switch. The wiper problem was posted before but they never posted the fix.

I put the car in for a service with a specialist, not dealer in the area. They reset the computer that controls wipers etc and when they disconnected battery for engine work etc. When reset everything was working properly. Previously I had raised a question on this forum about incorrect operation of wipers. As a result the check engine light also now works as it should. Previously it had only lit when initially turning the key.
I also thought of a partially clogged vent, but it seems strange that this coincides with the check engine light coming on. Is there a valve anywhere in the system that could be faulty and could be causing the light to come on and cause the poor filling. The light stayed on for approx a week and filling was a pain during this time, I probably filled up about 5 times over this time. Then for no reason the light went out and filling was as usual. This is a NAS version with a 76,000 mileage.
Thanks for your feedback, are you tying the partially blocked vent with the emission error, in other words if I had a ping pong ball in the vent as an extreme example and it moved about causing the blockage would this then trigger the light to come on?
Any suggestions on a code reader?
As always thanks for your feedback

Your example is what I was thinking. If your EVAP system is clogged/not working properly it will set off the check engine light and could make it hard to fuel. Does this happen when it is really hot outside?
Hi 2 fault codes P1171 and P1174 each is for "system too rich" and one code for bank 1 LHS and one for bank 2 RHS. Further information reads "multiplication, injector adaptive fuelling - rich limit exceeded.
Hope this helps

Sounds like you need a good tune up. Magnecor spark plug wires and good spark plugs.
As far as the re-fueling goes, does the slow fueling only happen at one gas station or all? i.e., today you fuel at Shell and it fills slow, next week you fuel at BP and it goes fine? I have one gas station just down from my house and I cannot get gas there.
