Relays 1997 300 TDi
I am looking for a listing/diagram for the relays that are located in both footwells sides. Lots of them and same colours. Have looked on RAVE but cant find it. Many thanks Phil
It started with fog lights not working for mot. Then noticed front or rear heated screens not working or rear wiper. On one occasion front wipers would not shut off but wil now. have checked all earth points. any help or advice welcome
Thats not a problem with relays.
We have had this problem on here before and I am trying to remember what the cure was.
I think it was the body control module but I have to think it over and try to remember for sure.
Everything going out all at once sounds more like either a bad ground or the control module.

I dont know what time it is where you are and I will try to get back to you in the next hour or so.
I have to help my son fix his car.
I will think this over while I am out.
But right now I am leaning towards a bad BCM (body control module), it controls all the specifics on everything.
You can narrow this down my switching the rear wiper on/off switch with a known good switch from the truck, like the one for your rear fog lights, just pop the switch's out and then poop them back in.
Make sure all doors are closed because the rear wiper only works when the doors are closed, then try them with the "new" switch and see what happens.
If they work, bad switch, buy a new one.
If not then check for power at the rear wiper motor just to rule out a bad wiper motor.

Thanks Spike. I am in south west england, Cornwall. Its 6.45pm here. I have tried another switch and nothing. At fog light switch I have live come to switch and bridged across and lights work, even with new switch did not work. Switch felt limp, not clicking
