Default Reliability

I just recently purchased my first Land Rover, a 2003 Discovery 2 and I just read JD Powers ranked LR worst in reliability. I knew it would not be a Honda but just what have i got my self into!!?? I love the vehicle and have no problems so far. Are their any success stories out there?

I like Hondas they make great appliances just like my stove use it and
forget about until the next time you need it.

What I'm trying to say is they have no character, yes they are good cars.
Your Land Rover is also a good truck BUT you have to take care of it.

It has more extras that Hondas don't so more things can go wrong.

The LR is a much more complicated vehicle.

I have a VW as well as my LR and only buy things JDP doesn't like.
They just want to put everyone in the same boxes.

If you think that the reliability is a problem get a extended warranty.

I wouldn't trade my 99 D2 for anything, I work it hard and it just keeps going.
Don't worry about what you read but enjoy your truck.

Land Rover will be as reliable as the person makes it. I have a 96 Disco some might say that is not the best year for Discovery but she has given me no problems other than a old fuel pump that went out. The discovery is a heavy duty truck and with that comes patience and also repairs when needed. But with the land rover you can rest assure when u need her she will come through. I've never looked back.
