Talking Rember me? Finally made it.

A couple months ago I posted a thread about my new 04 Disco I bought and some of the things I should do to it before I embarked on my journey. Well with all of the good help given, I finally made my 4500+ mile trip to Fairbanks Alaska the other day. Not only was it such a beautiful trip and wonderful drive but I am proud to be able to put the Disco thru it's paces as a world explorer. Plus not one hiccup with the truck. Here are some of our pictures from our journey.

We drove from Fayetteville, NC to Clay Center, NE and stoped there for two weeks where me and my father in law built a covered trailer for the rest of the trip.

Awsome, I really want to do a trip like that one day. Next year all going well my wife and I will be moving from NJ to Washington state so we'll get a portion of it out of the way.

I know its not LR based but I'm also a jeep guy with an 87 YJ in my drive along with the disco II. My jeep forum has a Canadian guy doing a trip from the arctic ocean to the tip of South America, here's his blog for anyone interested http://www.dangrec.com

I am going to be making the drive up to Alaska in November. I'm heading back to Kenai but I'll be in Fairbanks at some point to see friends. Maybe I'll look you up when I make it up there. Glad you had a good trip. It is always a beautiful drive.
