Remove rubber shifter console mat

Hello,
How do you remove the rubber mat that surrounds the gear shift area?...trying to clean up my new '03 Disco...thanks!...

Yep, it's a pretty crappy system actually. It's just held down w/ some double sided adhesive so you can just yank it out.

Oh they advanced to double sided tape on the newer ones huh?! I just lifed mine up today and there's nothing there. The only thing really holding it in from slipping around is the shifter boot on mine.

ha ha ha ha. Thanks, I was going to say the same thing. Mine grips quite well when it is clean. Kind like one of those rubber spiders you throw to the wall and they stick and slowly crawl down....
