The repairs begin
So my first lesson tonight was who ever the rocket scientist that come up with the bracket design for the transfer case shift cable needs a kick in the pants... and then one more just to make sure he understood the first one.... I would seriously like to see someone get a crows foot onto that adjustment nut...lol... I can say for sure that once the cable is finally off I will be angle slotting that bracket to make future removals easier. I unfortunately forgot my phone at the house so I didn't get any pictures... the next joy is going to be getting the rusted connection pin out of the transfer case shift lever.... so far it's not looking good as to making it out in one piece.... A nice cotter pin is going to replace that for sure when the new one goes in. On the sunny side.... I did manage to find a decent set of used tires for a real good price to replace the weather cracked one's until I can decide the final tire size I want to go with after I choose how much lift to give it. Huge shout out to T-rex for that cable .... totally saved my butt with that one my friend....
Cheers,
BlackRain...

I feel your pain. I just got done pulling that cable shifter mess out and put in a D1 CDL shifter, and removed the neutral lock solenoid. That mess of wiring connectors got on my nerves so badly I know my neighbors thought I finally snapped!
