Default Replace Climate Control Lights

How do I go about replacing the bulbs that light up my climate control buttons? The temp display and clock still work but the control lights went out.

you don't need to take the radio out. Just pull out the ashtray and coin holder and unscrew the screws holding the dash part of the two to remove that part of the lower dash. you can then reach up and disconnect the HVAC console. I took the radio out and it was of no help.

Default Replacing bulbs

Just did mine. I found it easiest to remove the switch cluster on the left of the Climate Control unit and the clock on the right. Once they are out you can depress the steel retaining clips on both sides of the Climate Control unit. The switch pack and clock are removed in the same way: get out your thinnest cards out of your wallet. Credit cards are a bit too thick. I used my library card and Boat US card. Slip the card's widest side into the thin gaps above and below the clock/switch pack. There are tabs on the top and bottom surfaces at the rear. Push cards in top and bottom and the units can be pulled right out by pulling on the cards. They are very tight and you may screw up a few cards. Once they are out, the metal clips along the sides of the Climate Control can now be pushed in and the unit pulled out. I bought leds from Superbrightleds.com. Buy the brightest ones - the ones with the flat, square led, not the bulb looking kind. I know have my clock and Climate Control buttons back at night. Sucks to have to use a flashlite. Good luck.

Default Link to good info

This is the posting I saw that helped me get the clock out. Same procedd for the switch pack on other side. Gives access to sides of Climate control and steel clips that retain it.

Default Bulb P/N

I bought bulbs for both the clock and the Climate Control.

I don't recall which was which. I believe it was the green one, but here are part numbers for both - one for the clock and the other for the Climate Control. Pick based on color of the bulb removed.

1 | B8-HP: B8-HP series Instrument LED bulb | $ 2.59 |
B8.4D-WHP: White

1 | NEOx-xHP: NEOx High Power LED Instrument bulb| $ 2.29 |
NEO5-GHP: 5mm NEO5-xHP Green

Default re: climate control, clock, temp control lights

Hey guys....

I need to replace the bulbs for the passenger temp up/down switch, the clock, and the climate control.

Doesn't look like my local Napa has them.

Atlantic British stocks 'em. question is, which is the right part number?

my rover is an 04 discoII.
is it one of these? Land Rover Parts, Accessories and Information

or this one? Bulb, Climate Control Head For Temp Control Switches; 2 Required (Genuine Part # 8510251) - Land Rover bulbs from Atlantic British

I know the right one for the clock is: Bulb And Holder Clock (Genuine Part # YAW000020) - Land Rover bulbs from Atlantic British

Much appreciated!

To clarify, blue/red temp button on passenger side is out, and the buttons for climate control power, defrost, recirc, etc are all dark.
