Default Replace my Rotoflex?

Good morning all!

My Disco 2 is in the local transmission/drive train shop for a rebuilt rear diff install. My cousin’s shop (one of the best in town) and he’s doing me a favor installing my rebuilt diff from Roverlands.

The truck has 278K and though the flex coupler is in good shape visually, should I go ahead and replace it while the diff is being changed? Lucky 8 sells them, as do others.

Thoughts from this esteemed group would be greatly appreciated!!

It probably won't hurt, but whatever you do, make sure you don't go with the cheap rotoflex. Get the OEM one that's made in Germany. The other ones just don't last and you'll end up having to replace it again pretty quickly.

Nothing wrong with the rotoflex if it's visually good, having a spare is always a good idea however.

100% replace the RotoFlex and hardware.

IMHO ONLY use the GKN " Made in Germany" Roto, the cheap-o's are a huge waste of time.

Its the same part for BMW, which strangely is sometimes cheaper than the LR part. and probably easier to get at a dealer.

I've honestly yet to destroy a Rotoflex coupling. All my D1/D2's are lifted 2 to 3inches and I've yet to have one blow apart. Do I carry a spare yes, but it's not brand new.
