Default replacement fender flares

I was wondering if anybody replaced their vinyl fender flares with new ones, and how well they last against fade? Are they worth the $300??

I just painted mine with bumper & trim paint. They look fine. Sanded them down first to try to even out the finish, and cleaned with a strong solvent, then lots of thin coats. Cost about $15 to do them all.

Mask them off carefully, and you don't even have to take them off the car.

I would think that the paint would wash off.

Why would it do that?

When have you ever 'washed' paint off of anything?
