Default Replacing a 6 Disc CD Changer - Any Secrets?

Have a 2001 Disco with a CD Player that plays for 30 seconds then turns off.

Planning to replace the 6 Disc Changer with a Used 6 Disc Changer.

Any great sources for Used 6 Disc Changers? Or any secrets I should know about replacing the old one?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hoping not to be rude, why replace the CD changer in this day of Bluetooth? Anything you have on CD plus much more can be streamed from your phone. Several of us on here are quite happy with the GROM Audio Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the back of the head unit in place of the CD changer. Works great.

That said, where are you located? I have a CD changer that's been riding around under the passenger seat in my truck ever since I went to the GROM many years ago.

I stripped my CD changer, sold it on ebay and never looked back. Installed an FM Bluetooth transmitter. A smartphone can hold north of 600 CDs (on a 64GB SD-card, which are very cheap these days).

mln01,

Thanks for the suggestion! Completely understand why that would be a great option.

My logic is that I want to keep my Disco as "stock" as possible. And I still prefer to read hardback book!

Also, as someone who works in the Tech Field, I am sick of electronic devices and prefer mechanical one instead.

I am located in Indianapolis if you what to get rid of your CD Player.

CDs last forever if not scratched. If you have allot of money in CDs no use putting them to waste. You should get better sound quality. Your American You Tube used to be really good. Now its just constant advertisements copyright deletions and censorship. And they track everything you do. No privacy. CDs don't sound so bad anymore. Its super easy to add. You just buy it and pop it in under the passenger seat. It's a 5 minute job. Check to make sure you have the CD plug first.
