Default Replacing fuel quick connect wo removing intake manifold

Hi all, Ive been having a strong fuel smell on cold start for a few days and snaked my camera to the back of the intake manifold and it looks like my quick disconnect fuel fitting is broken.

Does anyone know if there is some way to replace the connector wo removing the intake manifold or do I just need to use this as an opportunity to fix my issue and install my extinct coil pack re-location kit?

I can't answer your question from direct experience other than to say hopefully you have someone close by with really small hands. As I'm sure you know it's a bear to get back in there so you may as well bite the bullet. Leaking fuel isn't something to take lightly. If it offers any consolation however I removed my intake mani last night to replace VC gaskets and am relocating coils packs while in there too. Unfortunately I have SAI and will be battling those pipes this weekend.

you will have to pull off the upper intake mani. There is no room to change out the connector if broken. The connectors are standard items and you can get them from places like amazon (i don;t have part number or size). But it's not finding the connector that is a PITA, it's the old hard fuel supply line and getting the old connector out and the new one in.....

I finally had time to get into this project and after removing the intake manifold I found that the fuel injector for cylinder 8 was leaking badly. Fortunately, the fuel quick connect fitting seems to be in great shape and not leaking. My original photo was actually for the fuel evap hose connection and its little rubber protector was just loose. Got some parts coming so hopefully next week I can begin the re-assembly!

Thank you for posting the outcome. No resolution is posted in far too many threads.
