Default rhino-lining fender flares

Good morning. Thinking about doing this. Have heard both ways that some people sand before, and some have not. I was leaning towards not sanding them and just spraying on. Would like to hear everyones thoughts on this. I figure worse case scenario is that I have to remove them and put the bigger ones on
cheers

Not sure I would spend all the money that rhino lining would run for the fender flares

I would probably just do some of the cheaper spray can dupli-color bed liner. Holds up well for years

Does anyone make metal fender flares?

I want to cut out an area for a step.

I dont know of anyone company making metal anything for D2's body wise except for bumpers / roof racks.

I'd just clean the plastic with rubbing alki, mask and paint with some bedliner stuff -- probably don't need to use anything fancy

Shucks.

I agree. I have a case of grip paint that I am waiting to try spraying on something. Maybe I'll use it on the flares.

100%
Dupli-Color TR250 is the stuff you want to use.
No heavy texture and goes on real easy. Just remember to topcoat it with a UV protective Clear or Spray Paint.
If not it turns Gray over time from the sun.

I have mine rhino-lined plus the rear tailgate plastic housing. To me was a great choice, i have pics of them somewhere in my profile. Paid maybe $100, they did the prep (sanding/ taping off area for over spray, etc.), I couldn't have been happier with there work.
