Default Road Trip

Hey Guys, I just bought a 2000 Land Rover Discovery II. I am planning a vacation from Indiana to South Carolina to Florida back to Indiana. Round trip mileage is approximately 2600 miles. I just got rid of the 3 amigos this past weekend and replaced a bad power steering pump. The engine has 205,000 miles on it but runs strong. How many of you would take a trip this far with this vehicle? We plan on camping in National Parks along the way in a rooftop tent.

I’d go in a heartbeat in my Kalahari with nearly 240k, my 99 with a 110k, or my LR3 with 130k.

Ditto to said responses. Do get a AAA card though if you don't have one already though!

i would do it. sounds like a fun trip.

The AAA suggestion is a good one.

if you don't already have one, pick up an UltraGauge or other way to real-time monitor your trucks coolant temps. the dash gauge is not terribly accurate.

5 days haha...I don't plan on leaving until late summer, so by then I should know the truck a bit better.
