Default Roof covering

I have a lot of clear coat peeling on the roof. And I was wondering about doing raptor bedliner spray on it? I do have the sunroofs and the rovers color is black. Seeing how i would either have to send it out for a roof repaint or have it wrapped on the roof or just sand it an raptor it.
now being in the northeast with snow and freezing rain it would offer more protection for it.

also if you have done it which way would you apply it?

Thanks

I just did mine with herculiner. It turned out great (in my opinion).

Took me two cans of Herculiner and I did 3 coats. It cures best in a humid environment. Let me know if you want any other tips. Good luck!

I would recommend white roof. Africa/Middle East trucks were shipped that way, and I think it looks cool. And it literally is cooler, which is why they did it. You can put plastidip on it, change it if you like. The herculiner is more or less permanent.

Agree on white being cooler. I have radiant barrier above my headliner so no big deal for me. Plus a lot of the Jeeps come with black tops. I also did the black with plastidip for a year to try it out to make sure I liked it. At some point I will go back to paint so nothing is permanent- just need a high speed grinder!

I like the white, I have been pondering that with my Alveston Red D!!, It looks really good with your green. Is that Charleston Green?

Not my truck, but I am considering doing it to this one which is mine now. It will get a factory brush guard as well. I have gotten mixed reviews on the idea. People love the green, but some have indicated the white roof did not get them excited.

I also have a factory brush guard to put on after it gets cleaned up. Thinking of putting the herculiner on it

I cannot recommend the Herculiner. The rubber granules add to much texture, making it hard to clean. The green one has it on the bumpers and fender flares. They are stained with dirt and road grime and you can't get a rag to drag across it. On top of that the Herculiner on it has degraded due to UV and looks like crap. I would recommend paint or powder coat, of you want texture the plastikote rattle can bedliner actually provides a moderate level of texture that has a concave surface so a rag will slide across if for cleaning.
