I just came across video on an alternative for replacing the crumbling roof gutter hard plastic. Great idea since the factory trim pieces are hard to find, as well as expensive. Thought folks here may find this useful. Comes in different colors.
Are you who posted this on one of the Failbook groups? You are a total rock star no matter what as the gutter trim is wasted on my Alveston and this is the perfect replacement.

Not me. The creator is another guy on the the American Land Rover Discovery 2 Group in Facebook. He is the guy who posted the Youtube video. Please make sure to send your compliments to him for his ingenious idea:
Makes sense. I was thinking I'd have to experiment to find the right trim that would work. Guess someone already did the work for me. Thanks for sharing!
Question. Other than the length of the one long side piece (runs down both sides), is there *any* reason why D1 rain rail trims couldn't be fitted to a D2?
(and for the sides, maybe get 2 pieces and butt them up together w /connector piece to get the length.
Updating this thread and keeping a continuing reference for the obseleted factory gutter rail availability....another idea posted by someone else (not me) on Facebook - Land Rovers North America group... please send your compliments to him:
