Default Roof Rack

Does anybody know where I can get a decent priced roof rack for my Discovery? It only has the factory front 2 rails. I was thinking of going with the Yakima LoadWarrior, but I didn't know how it would look in the front. If anyone has a rack and could show with photos and give a cost that would be great.

Thanks!

Yeah, check out the Thule 450 in this thread: https://landroverforums.com/m_46724/tm.htm

I got the base bars for ~$185 from http://www.orsracksdirect.com/

Once you've got the base bars you can pretty much put whatever you want up there: a basket, snowboards, kayak, bikes, whatever.

The kayak carrier was $135 and comes with everything needed, including straps. I also got a long cable lock so I could lock my 'yak to the truck while I'm away from it.

I have the Land Rover rear extensions with Yakima cross bars and it looks great and much moreversatile in the way that you can carry things that are much longer than if you only have the front bars.

Would you happen to have any photos? Maybe how much your setup cost?

Thanks.

I actually bought the truck this way. The rear extensions are a Land Rover genuine part, and the Yakima must be around $250.00

Darover,

Dope!!! (in the voice of Homer (Simpson)). Just realized the "info" was in the later posts.

Sorry this is so late (orig post in 2007); hope you're still reading this,
Thank you,
Larry
