Default Roof Rack Question

Was wondering if anyone can tell me a good rack set-up to carry a 16 foot canoe as well as normal gear? Thanks for the help.

for a canoe that long you may want to consider just running some sturdy cross bars. What kind of stuff would constitute your regular gear?

I have a 14.5 foot kayak that I carry on crossbars. What kind of gear are you talking about?

only thing is my rack only covers the front half of the Rover. I would have to get an "extension rack" to give the canoe support at the end toward the rear of vehicle. As for the other gear, I guess I would be talking about misc camp gear that I might stow up there, (Storage cases, soft gear bags, etc..)
