Default Rover blues....

So I've had my Disco sitting up for over a year and a half... started out with the three amigo's, then the bags stopped airing up.

I've since replaced the bags... but it's still not airing them up. Last I checked, the compressor was 'a o.k.'.

I tried doing a hard reset of the codes, but they just popped back on.

I went to a local Autozone to have the guy run a scanner on it... he said the only thing that came up was something about "multiple cylinder misses".. which is ****, because my instrument cluster looks like a christmas tree.

I'm getting frustrated with it... and it's upsetting knowing how much money I've put into this thing... I can't just let it sit anymore.

Do you guys suggest buying an OBD II scanner and going from there?

Yes I would buy a cheap OBDII scanner, you can then read and clear your codes yourself.
If you buy one that also reads "live" data you can checks your O2's and coolant temp etc. as you drive/work on it.

If you are having multiple mis fire codes then you need to look into a tune up.
Also keep in mind that stale gas will cause problems as well.
So for the stale gas buy a can of SeaFoam and pour it in and then top off with good premium gas.

As for the SLS, get rid of it. Convert to coil springs and never ever have a sagging rear end again.
You can find the conversion kits used on e-bay for cheap.
All you need are the rear springs and spring seats.
