But, you must remember it's the last solid axle Rover available in the states. It has heritage!!!
I don't disagree with you. Just wish it had some more value to it I paid almost $40K new 10 years ago and its worth maybe $7K and that's with a the $5,500.00 engine replacement. Its my wife's baby so I just shake my head yes and turn the wrench. Although she sure seems to be driving my LC a whole bunch these days.

don't have a need for it on the disco, but considering it for another rover I have (if plan A doesn't pan out) if I had a rotted frame under the disco and couldn't find a cheap donor, I would do it without a doubt.

If the chassis was at least 2 grand cheaper and RoversNorth permitted a payment plan then I myself would buy one of their frames. I love the Discovery 2 models and I would be thrilled to have a brand new galvanized frame underneath. Then I could keep up with it and it would never rott. * By payment i mean make monthly payments until its paid off then RN ships out the frame.

Take a loan out

I don't have any rust on my truck so I wont ever have to buy one if I care for this one.

layaway... at fixed price (with penalties and small to no interest rate) . sounds like a win win

I'm willing to bet there's a market for them. I know an indy Rover mechanic who mostly does frame up restorations for people who can afford to pay him to do it. I know a financial planner who has had him do two rovers for him. This mechanic will answer questions over the phone if I call, but he doesn't want any of my work because it takes time away from his big jobs.
