Default RR p38 vs. Disco II

Okay, narrowed down to two.....2003 Disco S about 47K for 11.5, or a 2000 RR HSE with under 40k on the odometer. Probably similar in price, maybe a little more.

Disco seems fairly solid, well taken care of, RR looks to need a couple things, but nothing major, EAS runs about perfect.

I know, two fairly different vehicles, but can't decide. Always wanted the RR, but the disco seems simpler with less likely mechanical issues. I've always been a DIY kind of guy, but am looking for a little friendly advice. I know many of you have experience with both. Reliability, fun factor, any info. greatly appreciated.....Cheers.

Sorry for a probable repost, but have to decide pretty quickly...

You need to ask yourself which one will fill your
needs the most with how you will be using it.

I always really like the look of the P38 myself and had a hard time deciding between practical and simple (also very cheap) vsthe complexP38. I'm really happy with the Disco I, I mean REALLY happy. I can go off road and not worry about getting it dirty, scratching the paint getting a ding here & there. If you plan on going off road buy the Disco II, if you're going to be on road a lot buy the P38.

I'm still curious about the P38? I found myself looking at them on ebay two days ago.I think in a couple of years I'll buy one and keep the Disco I. I'll look fora cheap one to fix upwith the air suspension out, black, greyint, 4.6 HSE.Having both is the ultimate way to go LOL.
