Running board mounting hardware
Hi All,
I've noticed that my disco 2 has 1 of the long coupling nuts missing on the OEM running boards. It's the rear right one.
No clue how it would be missing like that, but it was like that since I got it off the previous owner.
I've looked everywhere for the mounting hardware and it's like finding hens teeth. I know there is this kit STC50225 but it's sold out everywhere and I really don't need everything, just that 1 coupling nut with some washers. If anyone could help me identify the size etc that would be great, I measured it to be around 4in long but not sure on the thread size etc.
Thanks!

Many, many years ago, I had one of those shear off when I removed the running boards to go on some local off-road trails. I eventually found one from someone parting out a truck (I was surprised they would saw me just that one item), but if I had not found one I thought I would simply use a length of threaded rod and stack nuts on it to replicate the original.
Apologies for the delayed response, had a taste of that wonderful virus floating about as of late!
The part i'm after is the long nut on the top left of the packaging. I assume the longer one is for the rear.
That would be incredibly kind of you! I'm going through a phase of bringing this neglected disco back to fully working order, and the loose running board is a bit of an eyesore!
I can imagine given its location, very susceptible to rust etc. I have considered the stack of nuts or welding something up myself, but trying to avoid it if I can just find the part.
Thank you all for the replies! Cracking forum so far!

@m00nb34m I can see if mine would be easy to get off. If so you are welcome to whatever ones come free. It might be a few days until I can give it try.
