Default running boards

Is there a way to make your own running boards. I think thats what they are called. One of my friends says they are called rock sliders.
Is there a good website that shows you how to make them. can universal fit on it.

99 Disco I

Thanks

Running boards and sliders are 2 different things. Sliders are for sliding over rocks and not damaging you doors, and running boards are made to get in the way and get your pants dirty.

Are you going to be offroadig? If so, send a PM to DiscoMike. I think he has some drawings to make your own.

Just to make sure, if you are still leaking "really light transpaernt green" fluid, do not take it on a trail. Find the leak before you keep driving it. 1 overheat and the motor is toast.

Do you understand the difference now though? And planning your add ons now is just fine. But the truck must be in safe trail condition before you go.

The best one is at the DIY car wash. If you have ramps and bring them you can run the front of the truck up on them and you can degrease the underside too.
Otherwise use Simple Green, Krud Kutter, any of those name brands will work.
