Running great while toasty outside, and a cooking question
Hello all, and it should have been "cooling question" not "cooking question". Apparently you cannot edit the thread title, just the contents. Oh well....
Just a report that my '00 Disco with a new AB long block and the inline thermostat is running 186-193° on y ScanGage II while the Indiana weather is hot!, 95° on the thermometer and 110° heat index. This is while sitting dead stopped in a traffic jam with the A/C running! All is working well, now on to the modification question.
In the fall I plan to begin towing a small travel trailer and my wife and I will be going about celebrating her recent retirement. Has anyone run an additional transmission cooler and if so, any details of what brand and/or type and any suggestions as to installation would be greatly appreciated. These upcoming jaunts will be in preparation for a long trip out West with my son and his family for two weeks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

@H Hill The problem is placement I have an 04, I have been trying to determine if there is a good place for an oil cooler beyond the stock location There really is not, you could add a long thin one below the front grill, behind teh lower mesh portion if you do not off road, But in my test with a damaged unit, (Cooler only no hook ups) the cooler fins got clogged with mud pretty quick just from FSR driving and road puddles here in the Pacific Northwest.
The other option would be to replace the stock unit with a more modern design, not sure if it would much difference
