Running rich
Hey guys,
Truck is back on the road but I still have a gremlin.
I have the check engine light one with the following codes:
P0141 - o2 heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 2
P0175 - system too rich Bank 2
P0172 - system too rich Bank 1
I had the rich codes prior to my front cover and timing chain replacement and rebuild but the o2 sensor code is new. I also changed my temp sensor in the process.
I have looked at some live data for the o2 sensors, the front ones seem to be performing ok the one rear one now has that code and the other one isn't posting a voltage.
I have gone ahead and ordered two new rear O2 sensors and will update with results soon.

Ok,
So I changes both rear O2 sensors tonight. Cleared the computer of codes then went for a drive. The codes came back, but this time also with a large evap leak code (I will worry about this later) but the weird thing is the check engine light didn't come one. Can the computer log codes without turning on the check engine light?
For the record the light is not burned out as it comes on when you start the car...
Also The one o2 sensor I replace Bank 2 sensor two still isn't giving a voltage reading at the computer. I suspect a bad wire, has anyone made their own replacement harness for this before?

Will have to take the front driveshaft down to thoroughly inspect. That connector is a P.I.T.A to check. If not does anyone know where the wiring goes for that connector? I would be tempted just to patch a section.
