Default Running Rich & Poor Performance

Well I finally fixed my poor performance/running rich/poor gas mileage problem. Turns out the wires were bad even though they looked brand new. I started to pull the plugs out by the boots and they were so deteriorated they just started to fall apart. I decided to change the plugs while I was in there and that was a big mistake. The person who owned it prior to me cross threaded the spark plug on the #2 cylinder, oh what a joy that was trying to fix. Anyways, since I have never driven my 95 Disco like this I find it much more enjoyable to drive. I originally thought it was just a brick and had no get up and go but I was wrong plus I should be getting better gas mileage since I have good spark and I am not letting any unburnt fuel out of the cylinders.

I have heard that the stock Champions or the Champion Truck Plugs are the best, I went with the Champion Truck Plugs. Most of the independent studies have shown Bosch to be crap. I went with some Duralast wires from Autozone, they have a lifetime warranty so I figure why not.

[/quoteIf you want good wires, which you will need to keep those Bosh Platium Plus 4's happy, buy a set of 8mm. Magnacor wires from Rover Connection on the web.
They are priced right at about $67, carry alot more voltage then factory wires and last well. Stay away from most of the domestic wires, no matter what warranty they have. I would rather have wires that out preform the others then a warranty that will give me a new one when the plugs wires start dropping. Here is the site,

Eeveryone that has put these plugs and wires on has had great results, especially in low in torque.
Also plan on doing a decarboning of the engine after you do the plugs and wires.

I would have went with the magnecore wires but when I pulled off my stock wires they just fell apart and I needed something ASAP. I am actually gonna go with some custom made Taylors.
