Default running rough

I have been having problems with my 2000 Disco 2 running properly. I have replaced the plugs and wires and that did not solve the problem. I am getting codes for misfire on various cylinders and also running lean. Where should I start? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How many Miles? Please fill out your signature with your mods and current service.
Have all 4 O2 sensors been replaced. I have an 2003. My fronts(upstream) died @ 65k rears started fading at 87k. They are available at RutroZone and Advanced. Fronts $75 each rears are $68 each. Get the OEM brand O2 socket remover. It will make it much easier to remove the fronts. I have gotten better gas mileage after to rear ones installed last week.
Also could be coil packs, MAF sensor. What kind of plugs did you use? NGK or Bosch Plat + 4's seem to do well. What brand wires? Magancore 8mm are seem to work well

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Hopefully you guys can still help me. My husband says that we used the plugs and wires you recommended and we have now replaced the coil pack but still have the same problems. What would you recommend next? I don't know if we should try the o2 sensors or the maf sensor first. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Try your front two O'2 sensors first. (The ones before the Catylitic converters). You can get them from Advanced or Autozone. 45 minuets on your back and its a good place to start. The replace the rear O'2's as you can afford it.

Get the codes read and post them here before you "try" any more parts, that will get expensive quickly.

To double up on hilltoppersx's question, are you using premium gas? It's amazing what kind of codes crappy gas will cause the computer to spit out.

Before you start doing anything, get us the exact 4 digit fault code numbers so we can see for sure what is wrong.
What brand of plugs and wires did you install, what octane gas are you burning and how many miles on the truck?

We always use high octane gas, I have to check the mileage as I have not driven in over a year but I think it is around 98,000. My husband has a list of the codes, I will get them and get back with you before we replace anything else. Thanks so much for the help.
