Default Sabotaged D2

Greetings,
It appears that my D2 was sabotaged by the previous owners as I finally realized what that three ding chime was when I started driving. The well known Three Amigos.

It appears they either removed, or covered, or unplugged the three lights that illuminate in the dash. I got into the dash and have the gauge cluster in hand (still hooked up).

My questions are:

1. Can I unplug the gauge cluster without messing anything up (resetting odometer, or causing it to reset and be non functional when hooked back up)?

2. Does anybody know of a good write up for how to properly deal with this issue? Maybe a thread on changing the bulbs or something?

All help is greatly appreciated!

-Erik

The bulbs are present and not light?
Or removed?

That chime is the truck telling you that you have exceeded recommended speed (20mph ish) with the suspension raised.
Do you still have air bag suspension? There are little height sensors on your rear radius arms. They still there? Plugged in?

I haven't opened it (cluster) up yet. I'm not sure if the bulbs are covered, painted, or straight up removed. No air suspension equipped. It chimes usually right when I first move out of the parking spot. It's throwing a code for the front right abs sensor. I'm going to be doing the shuttle valve fix this weekend.

Have you seen a write up for the breakdown of a speedo cluster? I just want to see what I'm getting into before I get into it! haha

Rave has a step by step. Not sure on a write up.
Have you checked out that sensor/hub?

You do realise that the shuttle valve fix is not going to do anything for the right front ABS sensor code right?

Yes, I actually mis-spoke. It's throwing a code at the shuttle valve and an intermittent code at the ABS sensor. haha Thanks

there are no bulbs in your dash they are led's; so either there covered or have been broken.
