Safari Rack Mounting Brackets

Safari Rack Mounting Brackets
I just picked up a used standard Safari Rack for my DII. I'm thinking it may actually be a DI rack; it was from a 1998 so I'm not entirely sure. Positioned as far back as possible, it's still 4"-6" from the very back.
In any case, the big problem is that they lost the "clips" that hold the rack on. I've checked Rover and they have a kit for $175 - more than I paid for the rack itself. And you have to special-order it, so even if I did, I couldn't take it on my trip this weekend.
Does anyone have one of these racks, and can you take a picture of the clip and post it? The posts that sit in the rain gutter are triangular, around 4" long, and have two threaded holes and a hook in the middle. I'm going to try to fabricate something at Home Depot but having a pattern would be nice.
I drove it home using rope to secure it to the stock simple rack bars - which worked - I used to be a boy scout and I tied it down pretty securely - but I don't want to rely on it for a long trip.
Thanks!

RE: Safari Rack Mounting Brackets
It seems a little short, but it fits fine otherwise - better than the other way around I suppose.
I've got a workaround - 4" t-brackets, I will bend to about 120 degrees and bolt in place. Should hold for the moment. Guess I'll go ahead and order the actual brackets from the stealer.
