Default Safety Devices newsletter (SD Roofrack)

Hey Everyone,
I just received this email from Safety Devices and thought I would pass it on. SD made the roof racks for LR's several years ago, and they are now back and it looks like they will be importing the racks for several LR models in the coming months. I hope this is helpful!!
Thanks
ROSS

ok so, I couldnt figure out how to make this email work as an attachment, so here is the basic brunt of the newsletter.
If you would like to PM me i can email you the PDF i have, its just too big to post on site.
Or if anyone can school me on how to upload this properly i would appreciate it.

Welcome to our first newsletter!

We will be sending out emails every 6 to 8 weeks to let you know all the things that are happening here at Safety Devices Intl. - Europe’s premier supplier of roll over protection.

A record year

Firstly in 2009 we had a bumper year – we managed to manufacture and sell 2,456 roll cages across a number of markets - truly a record year. This is the result of an international push into new markets, the Middle East, Africa and US as well as record sales in the UK and Europe. We expect tough times in 2009 but are optimistic that we can continue to grow our product list.

Roofracks

In 2009 is the news that we have taken the first tentative steps to manufacture our popular range of roof racks again. The first batch is des*tined for the USA to fit the NAS90 after which we will turn our attention to other models – likely the Defender 110 and Discovery 2. These are fully welded, powder coated steel racks – as tough as you can get – that’s why they were used by Land Rover in the Camel Trophy events over several years. We will let you know when they are in stock but if you have any feedback as to which ones you would like to see first, email chris.platt@safetydevices.com

New Roll cages coming!

Soon to be sold through our dealer network is our complete range of roll cages for Toyotas and Mitsubishis that we have been selling in the industrial market for years. As more L200’s and Landcruisers are used off-road it seems sensible to make them available to you. Contact Frogs Island, Beuckelaere Import, Matzker, GRIP Motorsport, Equipe 4x4, Konstantinidis or Outback Import for further details. Alternatively a full list of our worldwide stockists can be found online.

Its nice to hear that. One time I was at home depot waiting outside for the owner of a discovery with SD roof rack and would like to know if he was selling it. Bad part that he was not selling. Worst part, the wind blew the trucks door parked beside me wide open and broke my side mirror and left a big dent on my door.

Which is better made. Safety Devices or the ones made by RoverRacks. Saw some at eBay for $999.00 plus $75 shipping.

The SD racks are better made from what I have heard, and the DEF have a better fitting / clamp that sits in the gutter, although I may be a little bias!!
