Default Sagging rear air suspension

I have a 2001 Disco 2 w/rear air suspension. Recently, when I turn the vehicle off, the rear drivers side corner drops down, so the tire is into the wheel well. I noticed today when driving it, it is no longer rising to regular level. In fact, both rear sides are low, to the point where the tire is in the wheel well when the vehicle is running and when driving. There are no check engine lights on. I also am not hearing the motor engage like normal.

Thoughts??

Do you still hear the SLS pump running at start up? If it is working then I would say it is time to replace the air bags, how mechanical are you?

Disco Mike~

The SLS motor is running. I started it up this morning, and the motor engaged and it raised up to normal level. After I drive it 10 miles or less, the rear driver side begins to droop down. I am hearing new 'crunchy/spongy' sound coming from the rear anytime I go over even a slight bump. When ever I stop and get out of my car (even with it running) you can it 'deflate' and the back end lower down. But there are times when i start it and drive it 50 miles, and the back never raises up and it drives with the back end all the way lower.

So i think that it is the drivers side rear air bag. I just drove it around again, and the motor will engage, but that rear corner stays low. I am mechanically able, just have never replaced an air bag before.

My bags were sagging overnight...
to confirm it was the airbags I fully inflated them with the switch on the dash, went under the truck with some soapy water in a spray bottle, sprayed the air bag and exposed the leaks in the "folds" when the bag sits at normal height.
Arnott bags installed...pretty easy process... no special tools needed.
No issues for the last 2 years since the new Arnotts went in.

Is CANAMDiscovery's method of soapy water in a spray bottle the best way to find leaks in the SLS system and airbags?

Good chance you may need bags, Arnott Ind. is the best place to go for these, but you may also have an electrical issue from the computer if it drops while driving.
