Default Saggy @ss headliner

Well my headliner is sagging. Unfortunately, I just replaced it 2 weeks ago. I did it so I have no one to blame but myself. It was a pain in the butt, too. I went with black on my beige interior for contrast, but I don't think I like it anyway. So I am going to rip it off and use textured spray paint. I'll post pics as I go in case anyone is interested in what it looks like.

BTW - I have 2 extra trim securing things left over. For the life of me I can't figure out where they go. I hate having parts left over...

Rovers come with extra parts from the factory so dont worry about it.

they go right in the middle of your headliner just before it starts going up. I had the same thing, forgot to poke holes before.

Did you spray the material and the backer with glue?

Yea, I sprayed both surfaces. I didn't use 3M, I used some brand they had at AutoZone. Live and learn.

Speaking of liners,

The liner for my hood (over the engine) is sagging in the middle. Is there anything to fix this aside from a new liner? This one appears to be in good shape/never wet (maybe???) just sagging.

Thanks
Robert

Ok - then I'm guessing, it being gone doesn't hurt the paint?? Any additional noise once't it was removed?

it will hurt the paint, but isn't any louder. I took mine out and layed 2 thin metal strips across the back and fiberglassed them in.

I took my head liner out and removed the cloth and scraped the foam off with a stiff brush and spray painted it and put it back in and it looks good.
