Default SAI Pump filter

With 51k miles on it the usual SAI pump noise started to get louder. I pulled out the pump and discovered that the filter was deteriorating quickly. It was still in place and the shape was relatively still there since it had not been ever removed. The minute that I removed it it began to fall apart and crumble.

To Home Depot I went to find an air filter for a lawn mower as some have written. I did not have any luck and opted for a sheet of foam A.C. filter for a residential unit. I cut three pieces and sandwiched them together in placed them back in the unit. The sound is not as high pitched and probably the best I can do for now.

Does anyone know how long the bearings last in the pumps? I figure that eventually I pop a code when the pump eventually goes bad. It is working for now.
