SAI Valve
Anyone try one of these? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...3360_576739000
Price is 1/10th the stock part. I've been getting a P1413 code and the pump wants to start and stop when the vehicle comes to a halt at a light for instance.
I figure it is either this or the SAI solenoid... but for $28.40 can you really go wrong?
The one on Amazon has only one review... hence my wondering if anyone else has tried this part.

No I haven't tested it... Guilty as charged.
The cheap price made think about throwing a part at the problem... I know, I know...
In your opinion then, what is the most common cause of the 1413 code and the SAI Pump testing itself on stops, like at the end of an off ramp or randomly at a stop light?

I was just looking at my p1412 and p1415 errors today, they come up intermittently. I did fix it on my last truck w a used SAI valve. I have visually inspected the vacuum lines, no obvious leaks, but I dont imagine they are easy to spot. I did a smoke test a while ago and could not find any leaks.
Is the EGR related to the SAI valve? Or, are the two an electrical fault?

I've also inspected the vacuum lines and they all seem secure. It looks like the 1413 code refers to "left bank SAI." I assume 1412 refers to right bank?
On these specific bank related codes wouldn't that indicate the only part of the system that has "banks" which is the valve itself?
Or am I just reaching?

it's interesting to think about the SAI vacuum system. There is a reservoir, and then hoses from each side of reservoir to each air control valve. So does the reservoir have two separate vacuum chambers? I don't know, never took one apart. If the O2 sensor does not see the correct mixture on one side vs the other, then I guess a side specific code pops up. but the cause of this could be the valve, or anywhere along the course of the vacuum.....
