Howdy!

What are the benefits of Seafoam, would you recommend using it, and if so, what/why/when is use recommended?

I'll let someone else chime in here. But I used when I first purchased my DII. I introduced it via the injection method. I'll periodically dump a bottle into the fuel tank every 3k miles or so.

Not sure if it's all a bunch of smoke (zinger!!) or it actually does something.

In the gas tank once a year on a long trip.
Use quality fuels and you dont need a injector cleaner.
If you just got the truck not a bad idea to run 2 bottle over 2 tanks of fuel.
Techron is the best injector cleaner you can buy.
If you want to do a induction cleaning then buy the correct stuff, 3M induction cleaning kit, AutoZone, $35 for in the tank injector cleaner, throttle body cleaner and induction cleaner.
