Scangauge cheap alternative!
I found this the other day, not bad for the price! Especially if it works with our coolant temp. Saw old reviews so far on google. Anyone here have one or another alternative?

have one lol.
its good for the price, only thing really worth it is the temp guage. the trouble codes it only finds a few of them, and the data refresh update is slow.
many of its features dont work with my 00 disco, such as MAF data....which means no fueling/trip data etc.

The MAF data works with the '03s. I've had one for about 2 months now. It's read my trouble codes so far, can clear them, gives my instant mpg (which is to only be looked at when coasting or going down a hill ), and yes, it does give coolant temp as well.
I would recommend it, but if the MAF data doesn't work with the 2000's, then you may want consider a gauge that does work with the MAF.

I have had my UltraGauge for about 3 months, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone so long as they understood its features and limitations. It does exactly what it is designed and advertised to do.
I'm not sure what exactly grandkodiak is referring to, because my UltraGauge reads MAF data just fine, and it will read any trouble code the computer throws. I have also benefited from its ability to alert me to pending trouble codes. Audible and visual alarms can be set for any of its gauges, which is nice. Compared to my friend's ScanGauge, the only thing I am disappointed it can't do is display a voltage reading. (I understand that the ScanGauge can be custom-programmed, but I would be very unlikely to use those ScanGauge features.)
I have my UltraGauge set up to display fuel trims, which I like. Other than not displaying voltage my only disappointment has been that I have to manually reset trip gauges and push a couple of buttons to tell the UltraGauge the fuel tank has been refilled, but that is due to Land Rover limitations, not limitations of the UltraGauge. But the trip features do work, contrary to what grandkodiak said.

Yep it does. It turns on when the key is put into the run position, and turns off once the key is put into the accessory position or off position.
