Default SD roof rack

what is the price range these days to buy a used SD roof rack for sunroof truck? How can you tell an orinal from a fake.....are there special markings or tags? Thanks

Well the original says Safety Devices on it, the replica is Voyager which also says Voyager.

The Saftey Devices mounts are triangular in shape, the piece of crap Voyager racks are square.

You can expect to pay no less than $500 for a used SD rack in any shape that still mounts to the roof.
A brand new one is around $1500, IF you can find one.

With enough interest they were going to do another production run, not sure where that's at right now. Street Wolf, why don't you like the Voyager? I have one on mine and like it quite a bit, it's very strong.

One thing to remember is that they made a sd rack for the d1 and for the D 2 the d1 rack is shorter and looks kinda funny on a d II just remember to confirm if your buying. Your looking at around $500 for a used one all the way up some people know what they have some dont.

Does anyone have instructions for mounting of the SD roof rack? I purchased one and and will be making a 2 hour drive with the truck to install at the purchase location. I don't want to have to figure out how to mount it once I get there. Plus I would like to bring the correct tools with me.

There is no magic to it. The brackets that hold the rack to the truck are 10 mm Best to my memory. You should be able to do the install with any standard socket set.
