Just goose it and you'll lose him in the smokescreen.

I have never done this, but I would assume the oil should be changed after the seafoam injection?

Nope. You can actually use the same material (SeaFoam) as an oil solvent sludge buster treatment and a fuel system treatment. I did SWMBO minivan, pulled out on stte highway, and cloud was so thick the pick up behind me turned on his lights. Vehicle I have done this to seem to run smoother, but I don't havce any hard data like 3 mpg increase, and Rover is still 0-60 in 3.2 gallons.

Seafoam is just sort of a gimmick.
Making someone rich.
And, that's fine.

Amsoil Powerfoam really works.
As I have used it and it had fantastic results on a Chevy Citation that had a carb and ran like crap.

With injectors and O2' and an ECU compensating for issues,

I think Seafoam may make you feel good. And you just a little less financially well off.

I mean - even the name - Seafoam is goofy.
Someone marketed this stuff - and it stuck to the wall.

My other car is an old Mercedes diesel... I already pollute the neighborhood. Haha

JFall
Not sure where you got your information on Seafoam but it was originally made for the military and had a military spec number before selling to the public, been a round a lot longer then Amsoil, not that it is a bad product.

Been around longer me, grandpa would have used it in everything that cranked. But it is just one of many solvent cleaners. Use them early and often, as preventative; don't expect it to melt the baked on sludge out with one quick squirt.

And - the dirty oil scum it is melting out of the intake and burning off - that would come from??? Right - no oil in the intake, except that from the PCV system, which should be checked and cleaned as well.

The only reason I asked about benefits was that I've had to replace catalytic converters on another vehicle when a spark plug fouled and put gas in the exhaust, thereby disintegrating the first cat, which clogged the next one in line on a four cat system. I was wondering whether the seafood worked well enough to send a bunch of gunk into the two cats we have on Discos. As for white smoke... I can easily burn a tank of gas in one day on the highway (good smoke dispersal system) while getting paid for my trouble, thanks to living in the piney woods, away from civilization, and thanks to getting horrible gas mileage.

Sorry, I am on my phone. Seafood is not what I was asking about. SEAFOAM.

I have used seafoam to clean some pretty nasty stuff in my oil pan and on the outside of my engine. I think it works great but carb cleaner is cheaper and more fun.

I also used it on my 11 year old two-stroke lawn mover after a winter long hiatus. It works well for me. The mower starts up more easily and runs more smoothly.
