Seafoam treatment and now it won't idle
i've used Seafoam on all my LR's with no ill effects. like Best4x4 i did follow directions and every truck has had better idle and acceleration. granted, not much better acceleration. but still. i'll take what i can get.
Yep it’s not a use 1 time & remove 100% of your carbon deposits, it’s a treatment. If you don’t drive your LR like a grandma & you do a fuel treatment at every oil change you’ll prolong your fuel system & engine from deposit build up.
Meh
Used seafoam on my old Audi and Vw with good results. I threw in a can into the fuel tank when i first bought my truck, didn't bother to suck it into the engine because i was going to rebuilding it.
Probably won't bother with it again though

Seafoam here is like 6.00 and it does work. Just way to many variables to guarantee it will work for your needs.
I bought my 97 RR 4.6L HSE Vitesse from a widowed mother of 3. She did not drive it like a sports car and just putt putted around in it. When I bought it with 90K whenever you revved it up or it downshifted when I went to pass someone it looked like a mini rolling coal experience. My LR buddies tried the LR specific fuel treatment & it didn’t work (true snake oil at 35.00-50.00 a bottle back then), so I read up on Seafoam. I followed the instructions, and it white smoked for 10-15min so thick I didn’t want to drive it and blind people on the road. It finally got a little better so I hit a back road. After 25 miles it finally stopped having any smoke come out. After that one treatment it never puffed out black smoke again.
I mainly use it as a fuel system cleaner, and a bottle every 3k for 6.00 isn’t gonna break the bank.
