The service engine soon light starts blinking after I take off and the truck does not want to exceed 45mph. During the acceleration the service engine light continues to blink and only stops blinking but remains on is at an stop light. I was reading other threads and found out that the coils packs where a last resort and from other threads I am assuming it is a bad MAF! I appreciate all your help!!

 

STOP DRIVING IT!! When was the last time you had a tune up?

 

It's your MAF most likely - I had the same problem and replacing it was the cure, though you may need plugs and wires.

 

I did the tune up about 2 months ago or so!!!

What brand of plug wires did you use? DI or DII?

 

DII dont know the brand they where bought at advanced auto parts!!

 

In case you aren't aware, K&N air filters will foul a MAF. Also (another just in case) open your hood in total darkness with your engine running and check if you see any arcing from your plug wires (could be the culprit).

 

You need new plug wires. ONLY use Magnecor wires,...
