Default Service Engine Soon light on 03 Disco II w/ 108K

Started non-daily driver Disco II up this afternoon. Felt the engine idle a little more rough than normal. Oil pressure, temp etc. was fine on dashboard. Drove to WM, when I got done started back up, noticed same thing, just a tad rougher on the idle. Muffler and assembly was squeaking a little more than normal. Revved engine up and threw a "Service Engine Soon " light. Never had that happen. Had extensive engine work done about 30 k ago, no issues since now.
I know I need the "codes". My question is do I go to Autozone and get it read by their in house equipment, or do I buy the I-land system for 400 from AB.

Any help is appreciated. Have an camping trip planned for first week in June with my wife and little girl , pulling a pop-up, don't want to postpone it again. The first time I had to replace coolant hose....

Don't need the i-land system to pull codes, any code reader will do. Autozone or any store will do it for free, or get a cheap one off amazon for twenty bucks

Agree, if you don't do much wrenching yourself...just get a cheap code reader. You can come back with the code(s) and folks will point you in the right direction.

This one, along with the Torque app, has served me well.

My suggestion is to get an Ultraguage and be able to constantly monitor your temps. You can also set an upper temp alarm limit on the Ultragauge. The Ultragauge can also read generic engine codes.

It’s important to have a temp monitoring obdII tool. I have a scangauge, but as mentioned there are many.

If you plan to bleed brakes, and other functions without a shop then the iLand would be a good investment.

Amazon Amazon

This one from Amazon is great. Does all OBDII as well as ABS and SRS. There is also a 6% off so you get it for around $106. I love mine.

Went to auto zone. They ran the codes. Here's what I got:
P0130 O2 Circuit (Bank1, Sensor 1)
P0171 System too lean (BANK 1)
P1171 System Too lean, Bank A and Bank B

Looks like you need a new oxygen sensor. All of those codes point to a bad O2 sensor. I would replace both front ones.
