Service Engine Soon Light on and motor misfiring
Hello,
My sister's 2004 Disco has the Service engine soon light is on and I changed the spark plugs and the propblem went away, but I was informed that the light came back and the car is still misfiring like before I changed the plug and also when she starts the car it does not want to crank like it used to, it sounds like its going to die, last item she told me was that car shakes alot when she stops and idle. So please let me know if anyone knows what the proplem could be.
Thanks

She needs new plug wires, that is your problem.
www.apexperformence.net has the best price on the Magnecor plug wires that are highly recommended for LR's.

Spike, how could you possibly have come to the conclusion that plug wires are the problem?? I agree that replacement plug wires are a good idea for maint. But they are not the reason for as many problems as suggested on this site..
Richey, get the codes read and get back to us. Also, how many miles are on the truck? A misfire can be the result of many different things, bad plug wire, coil, maf sensor, or coolant getting into the cylinder, along with tons of other things. having the cel codes will help us make an EDUCATED guess.. Instead of just throwing parts at the truck.
