Yes tell your service guy to replace all of the O2's. You can still drive it, just dont drive it for a long time because it will fry your catalitic converters.

Have them double check that AutoZone was right with the code. They are 90% right. They told me that I needed O2's but turned out that we had a loose gas cap.
So get a second opinion.

Ive got 52xxx on her right now. I managed to get to autozone this morning and obdII readout was P0150. From what I understand its the O2 sensor. Does that sound right?

Why a timing chain, on D2's they usually get replaced at above 200,000 miles? On an 03, if anything needed to be done it would have been an oil pump inspection and replacement if you have one of the faulty ones?

As for your code, 150 is for sensor circuit malfunction on Bank 2 sensor 1, in other words passenger side before the cat.
That won't take an 02 to correct it but possibily some wire harness issue.

I would take your vehicle to your regular shop (the one you dropped $900 at) and get a 2nd check at another shop. Sound's like you might have a shotgunning mechanic on your hands. And don't mention replacing all the O2's...that is a whole lot of money after not much diagnosis.

So its possible I got duped? It was explained to me as more of a "precautionary" replacement for the timing chain. I had anti freeze filling my crankshaft. So I was lucky that it wasnt worse than it was. Any ideas in Minneapolis for an indy that can get me a second opinion other than where I take my truck now?

I'm not familiar with the Minneapolis area, but this shop is reccomended by RangeRovers.net which is how I found the shop I currently use.

http://rangerovers.net/service/midwest/minnesota.html

It's called Expedition Autoworks. If you check them out, tell em you were referred by RangeRovers.net please

Mike,

I was doing some digging around on the net and found a list of vins that show a certain range for the oil pump issue. How accurate is that and secondly should I have it checked anyway?
