Default Shake, Rattle & Roll

Hello All...

It's time to replace shocks and coils on my 2002 Disco 2 and need some help choosing the right stuff. I don't off-road, I don't pull anything, at least not yet and I don't see me doing differently in the near future... yup, boring! anyways, I'm just looking for the best solution that will solve my suspension issues at the most affordable price... I've been looking into Monroe, KYB and even Terrafirma, Bilstein, OME, etc... your input will be appreciated in order to stop that "shake, rattle and possibly roll" ...thanks!

you will want to keep away from the tarafirma and OME shocks then, they are offroad will be much too harsh.
I would look at Armstrong,KYB or Bilstein to maintain your ride.

I used Terafirma TF 118's and TF119's. The ride is slightly firmer than stock LR shocks but quite acceptable. I don't offroad mine and use it solely as a tow truck and lugging loads inside. It's a 2003 D2 TD5 ES auto without ACE but uses SLS (although the TF119's are 1" too long in fact for the airbags) I actually prefer the present set up although the stock set up was quite acceptable. It's personal choice and experience I guess.

Same shocks came with my 2" lift and the ride is incredible, compared to my original worn out units.

If I had to do it over again, and I will, I'd go with stock replacement springs (available at Lucky 8 (not affiliated) and Bilstein shocks.

I ran Bilsteins before going to the current setup and it was the best ride I've personally experienced on this truck.
