Default Shaved Bumper? Sagging End Caps?

So I've been contemplating new bumpers for my 99 Series 1.

For the front, I want the the cleaner look of a lower profile. For the rear, I want to loose the sagging end caps.

But I've seen some with shaved front bumpers that look quite nice. If this saves $700 then it may be worth looking into. How is it done? Pro's and con's?

On the rear, perhaps I should buy new end caps to tidy up the booty rather than a new bumper. After all, I didn't plan on $1600 in bumpers when I bought the thing!

You can remove your lower air damn, I believe that on www.discoweb.org that have a write up on it but not 100% sure.
I have seen it though, just cant remember where.

one con with keeping the stock bumpers mostly the front bumper is lack of strength. the front bumper is really wimpy can practically bend it around with your hand.

hi-lifting will just bend it all up and bumping into things will tweak it rear bumper is pretty stout but looks weird with no plastic and has very little protection for the side quarters

Ok, so I've shaved the front bumper. Now I need to figure out what to do about the sloping rear end caps...

I have the same problem in the rear. Looks like my Disco is frowning from behind. I'm just gonna get a rte bumper, but in the mean time when it clears up out here (been raining all week in NJ) I'm gonna pull the corners off and bend the brackets holding them in place up a little. I'll let you know if it helps at all.
