Default Shims in suspension Question 2000 Disco OME

Just installed OME springs(751 Frt/762 Rr) and shocks in my 2000 Disco. The car seems to be a bit lower in the rear. I have installed 1 spring isolator (Land rover OEM) on the top of each rear spring. I would like to add an additional isolator on the top of the rear springs and 1 on the bottom (total of 3 per rear spring). Can I do this or is that too many?

As far as I know you can safely stack a couple isolators without any problem. Since the suspension set up you are running was intended by OME/ARB for the D1 which has a different spring perch in the rear than the D2 changing to a D1 spring perch should level you out better than more isolators will.

Can I actually change the spring perches in the rear? As I recall, the top perches are welded to the frame. Are the bottom spring seats different for the D1? If I have to cut and re-weld the top rear perchesthen it probably makes more sense to just use the isolators....amI correct in my thinking?

The spring perch is the one on the bottom that has 2 bolts holding it on. With a D1 spring perch I believe it will give a extra 3/4 inch of lift. I am in the same boat as you and I am not sure if I am going to go with a 1 inch spacer or the D1 perch. I think it would be better and cheaper to use the spacers or D1 perch instead of all those isolators. Can you post some pics of your lift so I can compare it to mine.

AK helped/did my rear coil installation using 762 and the D1 spring plate and it will make the difference you want. You should be able to find a used set, if not, they are not expensive and a far better option.

I'm surprised the OMEs did not set up properly. I have medium springs and the HD shocks and the rear of my truck is 1/2" higher than the front. This is on a 2002 DII.
