Default shock absorber recommedation

I need to replace the shocks on my 97 Discovery. Is there a brand that is not the best, but is a good quality for the money for an all terrain shock absorber? I here Bilstein is good, but they seem expensive. How about Rancho? Need some advise please.

I have Old Man Emu nitrochargers and have been very pleased with the ride quality. On and off road. I got the Medium duty so they aren't too stiff. I don't think they are that expensive if all you are getting is shocks, especially when compared to Rancho or other brand names. I hear the Ranchos are really good, but I haven't ever had any on my rig. If you go with Rancho check out the rsx9000?( i think thats the number) its the ones that you can adjust umpteen ways. later you can get the in cab control and adjust them on the fly! sounds sweet to me, but never tried them.
