Default Shock Advise

With the recent addition of weight to my D2 I'm searching for new options. I'm going to remove my Terrafirms 2" HD lift, and I'll be installing something a little better.

I'm getting some RTE 2" HD springs, but I'm stuck on shocks. I was originally thinking about getting Fox shocks all around, but I'm straying away from that. The only other option that seems like a good choice would be OME shocks all around. Is there another option that I'm not seeing besides Terrafirma, and Bilstein?

Go 3" RTE coils. You will not regret it.

Heck, there are so many shocks out there it's tough to choose, it's all down to money. Bilstein, Koni, OME, the list is endless but of course it's mapping the springs to the shocks is really where it counts.

As much as I'd like to it's not going to happen.

The only downside to the RTE adapter is that it uses SAE bolts, and the Rover turrets use metric bolts. I would have to make sure the RTE adapters come with 1/2" bolts, and if I could fabricate 1/2" bolts into my new Terrafirma turrets that's a different story. If I can make this happen I would pick from King, Radflo, or Rock Krawler.

Just wondering why a 3" is out of the question.

Wondering why you're pushing 3" coils in a thread that's asking for advise on shocks?

A 3" lift is not practical on a vehicle that I plan to live out of, and travel around in for the next couple years. Hell, even a 2" is mostly likely more than I'll need.

Hi
I'm curious why you so strongly advise a 3" h.d. Spring without knowing what use the truck will see?
3" will put you into numerous other complications. Driveshaft / driveshaft angles, radius rods, tire size, etc. Etc.

A D2 has radius arms front and rear, as well as sway bars front and rear. 3" is not an issue.
