Default Shock choice with ACE on a 2000

I've been driving myself a bit crazy here looking around at shocks. Not looking for anything expensive or fancy... I'd be cool with the Monroe or something like that. Would love the Bilstein, but not looking to spend that much.
My issue is, I can't seem to find if there is or is not a difference when you have the ACE system. Some shocks show one model without specifying. Some show with or w/o Air. Some show just w/o ACE. Some show both. All brands seem to be different.
So, anyone with ACE and without air suspension have any recommendations? Any model numbers or advice? I just looked at 5 different sites and still am confused. To top it off, the local parts places are clueless so I'm not going to bother going that route again (I had the biggest moron ever at Pep Boys, and they lost my business period).

Hah, good luck finding any more info. I called around and asked around too.
Atlantic British told me I need shocks for ACE vehicles, but that they didn't know what the difference was other than that the manufacturer specified them as different.

Personally, I can't see what difference there would be other than a little length or extension, but I'd love to be corrected.

Justin at Lucky8 said that if there IS a difference, he doesn't know of it and it isn't of any consequence, as they've had many guys with ACE get standard length shocks.

I ended up going cheap with the ALL MAKES brand from Justin at Lucky8.(he doesn't advertise these, but they are a common UK brand) The DII is my wifes driver and will continue to be a pavement queen until I take it over, so I only need 2-4 years out of these, and they have seemed just fine so far. Only about 2,000miles on them.

Good luck.

Thanks! It is quite an annoying search. I'd be happy to throw anything on that will work OK. I'm fine with the Monroe or something like that!

I have them sitting in my Amazon cart... awaiting someone who might know. I have 2 of the Monroe Sensa-Trac 37234 and 2 of the 37232 ready to roll ($170.78 and free shipping). This good to go?
